Oh, what anger boils my blood!

So a few minutes ago, I was checking my hotmail email account, which I barely touch, when I come across a Star Wars newsletter linking me to a contest starwars.com is having regarding the naming of their new Sith Lord. Eagerly, I type in the name that has, in my mind, always been my Sith name, which I won't divulge here, and am thrilled to have entered the contest just before the deadline.

Then I check the terms and conditions, and wouldn't you know it - I'm disqualified. Why? I'm British.

Yes, it seems that Lucasarts have decided not to allow entrants from any country besides the United States, for reasons that escape me - the prize is nothing more than having your Sith name in a book. Hardly a prize that will cost loads of money to ship cross-continent.

So I'm very angry and have sent emails to whomever I can lay my hands on who might have some control over this - which turns out to be very few people indeed.

I'm mad.

Rawr!
That annoys me as well; as a Canadian I'm frequently disqualified from such contests as well. Although the cause may have something to do with differing laws on how contests need to be run in multiple countries.

just tell them you are not British. You don't have to tell them where you are from do you? Though unless you really hate the USA you could just say you live there.

My problem is that I keep wanting to enter contests where you have to live in Canada. Go figure. Thats what I get for being an Oilers fan in the USA.

Damn Americans, always ruining it for us...

Trust me, I know =/ I'm Canadian, which bars me from all of Tokyopop's 'Rising Stars of Manga' contests. Pain in the ass.

I have more fun blaming the people. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Dark Side Points!
We have CLEARLY reached the point where the only reasonable solution is rampant and unchecked STABBING.
