So yesterday, there I am, in WH Smiths (that's a big newsagent chain in England, for all you Americans), trying to decide between buying a Star Wars comic or a Spider-Man one. I've been collecting the Spidey one for just about half my life, but the Star Wars one features Quinlan Vos being hit by Order 66. Tough choice.

I decided to buy the Star Wars one, and get the Spidey later in the month.

Handing the comic to the girl behind the till, she suddenly and unexpectedly starts asking me about the New Jedi Order book series. I'm caught completely off guard (I've never even met a NJO fan before, let alone a female one), mutter something about Kotor, and walk away. I'd been completely thrown off. You just don't expect things like that.
